أطلقت إحدى شركات تطوير ملحقات آيفون قبل فترة، مُلحق جديد يقوم بتحويل الجهاز إلى آلة كاتبة.
حيث يقوم المستخدم بوضع الجهاز في مكان مخصص داخل الملحق ومن ثم يستخدم لوحة مفاتيح الآلة الكاتبة التي يوفرها الملحق للكتابة.
لكن مُستخدمي آيباد بإمكانهم تجربة تطبيق Hanx Writer المجاني والذي يُغني عن شراء هذا النوع من الملحقات.
فهو يقوم بعرض لوحة مفاتيح الآلة الكاتبة بشكل افتراضي على الشاشة وعند الكتابة يتم طباعة الحرف بنفس طريقة الآلة الكاتبة في السابق.
